Den - Dia was founded in 1949 on a small dairy farm at Kilcoy. This farm was situated close to the Kilcoy Showgrounds. Don milked enough cows to supply the Kilcoy township with milk. They were all A.I.S purchased from his farther Henry Fogg, Fernbank , Kilcoy. In 1949 Don won Champion Butterfat Cow at the Kilcoy Show with Fernbank Omar. He later purchased 2 heifers from George Francis from Kumbia. One of these heifers was Aynsley Marlene 3rd, this cow family is very prominate in the Den -Dia herd today. Don sold the milk farm and moved to a larger property at Gregor's Creek on the Brisbane River in 1951. In 1960 he purchased a property near Toogoolawah and by this time was exhibiting at Esk, Toogoolawah, Kilcoy, and Woodford Shows. The Den - Dia stud then went into exhibiting at Brisbane in the 1960's.  In 1985 Don retired and his family took over the dairy and continued breeding and showing Illawarras.
