REPEAT FOR DUCHESS AT BRISBANE EKKA

Sunny View Duchess owned by the Phillips Family has been named Champion Cow at the Brisbane Royal Show for the second time running.

Judge Laurie Chittick, placed Duchess ahead of the Ledger Family’s Rosedale Bygold Belle 2306, which was a reversal of the Best Udder class.  His Honourable Mention Cow was the Toowoomba Royal Show Champion, Myrtleholme Ailsa 14 owned by J P Bourke & Co.  Ailsa was judged to have the third best udder and attachment.

The Junior Champion was Tara Panda 6 owned by the Henry Family from Hodgsonvale with Kangawarra Passion 3547 owned by Tom, Kylie, Kelvin and Ronnie Cochrane taking out Reserve Champion.  J P Bourke’s Myrtleholme Worth Ladybird 2 was Honourable Mention.

The Henry’s also took out Juvenile Champion with Tara Daffodil 43 with Allan and Denise Whatman taking out both the Reserve and Honourable Mention placings with Allen Vale Virgin 12 and Allen Vale Virgin Mayflower 14.

Allen and Denise Whatman also took out most successful exhibitor.

Den Dia Partnership’s Den Dia Minnie 6 won Reserve Champion Milk and Reserve Champion Fat Plus Protein in the on-ground milking competition.
