The Brisbane Ekka has concluded for another twelve months, with Paul Ringland officiating.

Great excitement for Tim and Lisa Nicholls and the Phillips boys in winning Champion Cow with Clarefield OS Marcel Pauline 2846. Damon and Jason Phillips' Sunny View Duchess, champion cow in 2011 and 2012, was named Reserve Champion with J P Bourke & Co's Myrtleholme Rose 212 as Honourable Mention. Senior Best Udder went to Jondene Velva 7 (F S Johnston & Sons).

The Ledger Family's Model family continues to perform, with Riverwood Model 6 named Intermediate Champion after also winning Best Udder U3yrs. Riverwood Joan 9 was Honourable Mention Intermediate Heifer with the Henry Family's Venvale Thelma 121 splitting the two Riverwood animals, as Reserve Champion.

In the juveniles, Myrtleholme Glenda 65 (J P Bourke & Co) won the Champion broad ribbon with Tara Daffodil 44 (Henry Family) and Riverwood Favourite (Ledger Family) taking Reserve and Honourable Mention respectively.

Riverwood Madam was named All Breeds F+P Champion in the On-Ground production competition producing in 24 hours, 35.1 kgs milk, 6.28% 2.215 kgs Fat, 3.58% 1.253 kgs Protein, 3.468 kgs F+P. Den Dia Minnie 5 (Den Dia Partnership) was Reserve Champion for F+P but took out the All Breeds Weight of Milk producing 48.25kgs in 24 hours. Den Dia Empress 86 took Reserve Champion Weight of Milk.

In the Inter-Breed judging, the Illawarras performed well with Reserve placings in Supreme Cow (Clarefield OS Marcel Pauline 2846), Supreme Udder (Jondene Velva 7), Supreme Junior (Riverwood Model 6) and Supreme Junior Udder (Riverwood Model 6).
