Mt Pleasant Feature Show, March 19th 2016.
A bit of overnight rain settled the dust, so on a perfect autumn day 7 exhibitors and 6 juniors (one for her first time) paraded their cattle for judge Mr Damen Phillips, “Sunny View”, Toowoomba, Queensland.
“My experience of judging 2016 Mt Pleasant was very enjoyable.
I found a great line up of cattle to judge.
My class winners of the in milk cows were my highlight.
The Champion Cow was from the Aged Cow class. Her superior udder carried her to the top. The first 4 cows in the Champion Cow line up were a real credit to their breeders.
Size determined the winner in the intermediates, with my champion having too much height and length with a snug udder, to defeat her rivals.
The Junior Champion came from the youngest class, she was too sharp and clean with less faults than her rivals.
