The Victorian Branch’s Red Cow On-Farm Challenge has taken place again under Judge, Mr Jim Parker of Colac.
The Jersey breeder and ex-Jersey classifier, named Wallumlands Blush 4 owned by Terry and Ursula Tidcombe as the overall champion. Blush won the 5years in milk class.
Entry numbers were pleasing with the highest number being recorded in the Mature Cow class with 38.
The Tidcombes also won Class 3, 3yrs in milk, with Wallumlands Pendant. Other winners included Barry Warburton with Glen Meadow Mary 42 in the Commercial Cow class any age, the Hayes family with Llandovery Viscounts Joan in Class 2, 2yrs in milk, the Coburn family with Winganna Emp Handsome, 4yrs in milk and the Tuhan family with Alston KitKat Honeymoon, their mature cow.
