In approximately 1990, Graham purchased his first Illawarra from Paul Ringland. He then purchased more animals from Harold Mathie’s Lindale dispersal sale followed by purchases from Parkview, Wilmington, Park Lane and the NSW breed sale.

Graham has a milking herd of 100 made up of a mix of Illawarras, Holsteins and Jerseys with approximately 20 dry cows on his property located 8 klms from Narooma in NSW.

Bulls from Wilmington, Kangawarra and Parkview studs have had an impact on his breeding program as has Harley Creek Curly Beau.

Graham credits eight cows as having the largest impact on his herd including:

Wilmington Dove 11, Beauna Visa Tess 4, Lindale Thelma’s Betty, Lindale XBZ Blossom, Wilmington Gracie, View Mount Colleen, Parkview Honeymoon and Park Lane Milkmaid.
