IDP REPORT MAY 2013

The April ABV release saw Panorama LANDMINE emerge with an impressive initial proof. With an APR of 97 and ASI at 110 he sits at number 2 on the top APR list of Illawarra bulls. Daughters are typically tall and long and have good udders, with some protection needed on teat length (shorter than average teats).
it may pay to keep this in mind when making individual mating decisions.

NEW BULLS:
Storman Jetson will be available from ABS from June 2013. He is a Fradon Jet son of Storman Buttler Jean EX, who has been twice Champion Cow at Sydney Royal. This cow is breeding tremendously, with her LANDOVER daughter being the 2013 Sydney Royal Intermediate Champion after previously having won her class of the NSW on farm competiton. The ROYALTREBLE daughter of Buttler Jean also won her class of the NSW on farm comp. This bull is a good option for those looking to incorporate Holstein Genetics in their breeding program rather than using Holstein semen directly.

Creighton Park Elmo is another young bull to look out for. All going well he will be available from Semex from August 2013. He is a ROYALTREBLE son of Creighton Park Elizabeth 1589 VG89. His dam has produced over 14,000 litres in 305 days. She in turn was out of a VG87 Venvale Pauli daughter that won best udder at IDW in 2001.

Clarefield MILLMAN has been available from Agri-Gene since late in 2012. He is the FYNAKS son of Clarefield Monarch Milly VG (maternal sister of ISMOCHA). Monarch Milly (sold to a Victorian herd at Clarefield Dispersal)  has recently calved again and in her first 2 herd recordings has been top cow in a Holstein stud herd. If you haven’t yet used this bull then be sure to add him to your breeding program.
