Raymond Parker (Glencliffe Stud, Victoria) had the honour of judging the Illawarra breed at the Sydney Royal Show and was presented with a quality field by six exhibitors.

Senior Champion Cow and Best Senior Udder went to Tony Hayes (Girarre, Vic) with Llandovery Ja-Bob Stella 822, a continuation of her IDW form where she was also named Senior Champion and Best Senior Udder.  Paul Ringland’s View Mount Landmine Little Patch 14 took Reserve Champion Cow, a step up on last year’s result of Honourable Mention.  The 2016 Hon Mention Senior was Kangawarra Myrtle 3936 exhibited by Reg Cochrane Pastoral Pty Ltd (Tom & Kyleigh Cochrane).  

In the Intermediate section, another Llandovery animal, took the championship but under the ownership of Injaaz Farm, Kyabram, Victoria.  Llandovery Blushs Queenette 1183 was also awarded Best Intermediate Udder.  Reserve Intermediate again went to Paul Ringland with another Little Patch, this time View Mount Little Patch 24.  Honourable mention went to the other branch of the Cochrane family, Tim and Natalie Cochrane, with Eagle Park Prophet Jean.

Tim and Natalie Cochrane also took out all three broad ribbons in the Junior Heifer section with Eagle Park Anticipation Pamela 4228 (Champion), Eagle Park Manu Linda 4293 (Reserve Champion and Eagle Park Dan Sunbeam 4136 (Honourable Mention).
