On the 26th September 2015, at the Ledger property Riverwood, Carters Ridge, the Wide Bay Burnett Illawarra Cattle Club held a Judging Demonstration Day with around 30 people participating.
A great line up of animals which were a credit to the owners, were on display for participants. Everyone from young and old joined in on the day.
It was great to hear different opinions on what everyone picked up on throughout the day. Thank you to Phil Hentschke, All Breeds Classifier, for traveling up to Queensland and giving instruction on classification and judging. It was great to hear his demonstration on the breakdown of a cow, which helped participants improve their knowledge to be used to further their skills in judging. Phil is one man who can talk about cows all day with everyone listening to every word.
Thank you to the over judges who acted as mentors to participants and thank you again to everyone who helped out on the day from cows to food to sponsorship which included BOS Farm Supplies based at Imbil and Mrs Jean Peters. It was great day had by all.
